you're accepting but my self image is not
it's relentless and i'm helpless to its unforgiving knots
their all tied up i'm so tied up in these coarse and twisted ropes
they burn my skin and grind my bones but still keep me a float
i am steady ever floating i'm not sinking i'm still rowing
i'm still going (x4) i'm still..
i don't need these ropes or these knots
i have to fill myself with air i have to fill myself with thoughts
of my friends and all the people that i've helped
of the days that i've made better and the ones that could have gone a lot worse
i'm glad it's raining,
ill tear up these ropes with my teeth
and ill kick at this giant body of water
with my feet
